Loreal Cosmetics is headquartered in Paris, France in the year 1907 and was started out by a chemist named Eugene Schueller when he created a new hair dye. He called his hair dye, aureole which he manufactured, formulated, and then sold to Parisian hairdresssers. After two years, in 1909, Eugene Schueller registered his company and was then named, Societe Francais de Teintures Innofensives pour Cheveux or in translation, Safe Hair Dye Company of France. The companys vision is research and innovation in the interest of beauty and this is the past, present, and future of Loreal Cosmetics.
Since then, the company has innovated and invented other cleansing and beauty products and has been marketing over five hundred brands and thousands of individual products in all departments of the beauty industry.

Some of you may not know it, but Loreal Cosmetics is the one company behind all the other big makeup and personal care brands. Because of its different divisions, the Loreal Group is behind the innovation and development of products that we think are its rivals. Products like Maybelline New York, Garnier, SoftSheer Carson are part of its mass market products. Names like Kerastase, Matrix, Mizani, and Redken are also part of the big Loreal Group specializing in professional products that we usually see hair experts and hair professionals use on their salons.
